Actress Shami Kaiser has been arrested by Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Uttara West police station arrested him from Uttara in the capital on Tuesday night (November 5).
Uttara Division Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Ronak Jahan confirmed the arrest.
He said that in the case filed against Shami Kaiser in connection with the anti-discrimination student movement, he is the accused. Uora was arrested from house number 53 of road number 6 of sector number 4 at around 12:30 on Tuesday night.
Shami Kaiser, daughter of martyred intellectual Shahidullah Kaiser, is a member of Awami League sub-committee on liberation war. He was active in Awami League politics and was the party's nominee in the National Assembly elections.
