Meerut News Today: The festival of Bhai Dooj is being celebrated with great pomp across the country today i.e. Sunday (3 November). On this occasion, sisters apply Tilak to their brothers and pray for their long life and happiness and prosperity. This time Meerut District Jail Administration made special arrangements to make Bhaiya Dooj special for many sisters.
The most special thing today in Meerut jail was that the jail officers themselves stood in front of the women prisoners whose brothers could not come or who did not have brothers, posing as their brothers to get them vaccinated. Due to which his happiness doubled and the jail officer fulfilled the lack of his brothers very well.
Today the sisters reached Meerut's Chaudhary Charan Singh District Jail to meet their imprisoned brothers. The sisters celebrated Bhai Dooj by applying Tilak to the prisoners and feeding them sweets. On this occasion, the jail administration made strict security arrangements.
Special arrangements in jail on Bhai Dooj
Generally, prisoners are not allowed to meet in jail on Sundays. However, despite it being Sunday, the jail administration had made special arrangements for the sisters who came to meet the prisoners.
The faces of the prisoners lit up with joy after meeting the sisters and enthusiasm was seen among the sisters too to meet their brothers. Many sisters had tears in their eyes after seeing their imprisoned brothers, who did not seem to stop even after meeting their brothers.
On this occasion, sisters applied tilak to their brothers, fed them sweets and inquired about their well-being. The jail administration has made arrangements for Tilak items and sweets on this special occasion, and milk has also been arranged for small children.
Officers became brothers of women prisoners
Amidst this joyful atmosphere, there was also a scene which was quite emotional. On Bhai Dooj, special arrangements were made for the female prisoners in jail, whose brothers could not reach.
The jail officials pretended to be brothers of these women prisoners and got them to do Tilak and shared their sorrows and joys. During this, the eyes of the women prisoners were filled with tears and there was no limit to their happiness.
