'Government does not believe in violence, decision will be made through discussions with Jatiya Party'

Regarding the attack on the Jatiya Party office, Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar said that the present government does not believe in any political violence. What will be decided about the Jatiya Party is a political decision. Decisions will be taken on the basis of consultation, opinion and consensus with political parties. No decision has been made yet.

He said this at a press wing briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Sunday (November 3) evening.

Azad Majumdar said that the police is investigating the attack on Jatiya Party office. We protest any violence. We do not want any kind of violence in the country.

Stating that the four national leaders played a major role in the Liberation War, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said, Bangladesh won the war in 9 months and they played a big role in that. We remember them with eternal gratitude. Awami League reduced four national leaders to only one during the liberation war. They just wanted to create a timeline of one. They wanted to show Bangladesh that everything happened just for one person. Tajuddin Ahmed, Syed Nazrul Islam and other four leaders contributed a lot. We acknowledge their contribution.

In response to a question about the banning of Shilpakala Academy plays, he said, “According to our knowledge, such an incident took place on Saturday.” We protest this incident. I hope the head of Shilpakala Academy will investigate and tell what happened.

The press secretary said that education adviser and youth and sports adviser are working to solve the problem of seven colleges, and hope it will be solved soon.
