Hijab Controversy, two Bangladeshi school teachers suspended for ordering Hindu girls to wear hijab

There is a renewed fear among the Hindus of Bangladesh. It is alleged that several orders and 'fatwas' have been issued regarding Durga Puja. Meanwhile, there have been allegations that Hindu female students have been ordered to wear hijab in a government school in Rangpur, Bangladesh. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. School girls and Hindus protested after this. The district administration of Rangpur has suspended two teachers, including the headmaster, after these complaints and protests by the students. Allegedly, Hindu female students of Kamal Kakar Muslimuddin Girls' High School in Rangpur were ordered to wear hijab to come to school. This complaint has been made against the headmaster of that school, Mostafizur Rahman, and the teacher of Islam, Maulana Mostafizur Rahman. The girls complained that they were told to memorize the Koran and come to school in hijab.

After that, many people complained that Taliban rule had started in Bangladesh. However, both the teachers have denied the allegations against them. They claim that no student was asked to wear hijab. The two teachers claimed that they were told to wear a scarf with the school uniform.

Rangpur District Magistrate Mohammad Rabiul Faisal said that two teachers have been 'suspended' due to the allegations. He said, 'There were allegations that two teachers had asked Hindu girls to wear hijab. Along with that, they also talked about reading the Gita.

This created a tension among the Hindu community in the school. Therefore, the two accused teachers have been suspended immediately in this incident.' Show-cause notices have also been issued to the two teachers. They have been asked to reply in writing within 10 days. The District Magistrate said that action will be taken against them after investigation.
