State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said that through smart management, the profitable use of the resources of Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited (BTCL) should be ensured. He said all this at the meeting to review BTCLR's activities at the Telecommunication Building auditorium in Dhaka on Thursday (June 6). Besides, he directed the authorities concerned to utilize the opportunity to transform BTCL into a profitable company through smart management.
Junaid Ahmed Palak said, Bangladesh should build its own social media platform like China's own social media WeChat, South Korea's Kakotok.
He said, 'BTCL's unutilized land across the country should be ensured by increasing the quality of calling app Alap's service, increasing the number of subscribers, increasing the coverage of broadband internet life and planned use of other infrastructure. Besides, we have ample opportunity to create national social platform. As BTCL talks, life and unused land and infrastructure can be used to contribute to the national economy.
BTCL's managing director Md. Anwar Hossain and Teletalk Managing Director Nurul Mabud Chowdhury highlighted the progress of their respective organizations.
