Microsoft has expressed interest in creating artificial intelligence (AI) experts and developers in Bangladesh, building international business capabilities among startups and providing technical assistance in cyber security. On Tuesday (June 11) at the Bangladesh Secretariat, during a courtesy meeting with the Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Junaid Ahmed Palak, the Managing Director of Microsoft Bangladesh. Yusup Farooq expressed his interest.
During the meeting, they discussed various topics including startups on Microsoft Founders Program, cyber security, building a single platform for data and AI.
Junaid Ahmed Palak said, 'Now the world is going through another revolutionary change through artificial intelligence. There are many challenges in this journey of change.'
Pointing out that we have to deal with this challenge of technology to implement the smart Bangladesh vision, he said, 'Microsoft can contribute to creating cyber security experts and new technology tools to ensure cyber security in all sectors including banking, telecom, ICT of the country.'
The state minister said, 'In order to build a developed and prosperous smart Bangladesh and smart citizens, smart social system, smart economy and smart government system in 2041, it is not possible to bypass artificial intelligence. So now our challenge or discussion is how much we encourage innovation and how much we control misuse.'
