Juli Shaheed Smriti Foundation will help 200 families every week

From tomorrow Saturday (November 2), the 'Julai Shaheed Smriti Foundation' will start providing financial assistance to the families of those killed and injured in the mass uprising of students and people in July-August. Assistance will be given under the title 'Bangladesh next to Shaheed Parivar'.

Sarjis Alam, one of the coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement and general secretary of July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, gave this information in a press briefing in front of the office of July Shaheed Smriti Foundation at noon on Friday (November 1). At the time, he said, 200 families will be given this assistance every week.

Sarjis Alam said, 'Help will be delivered to 200 people a week in four phases from morning to afternoon. For now, this program will start from Dhaka. Support to the families of the martyrs will be carried out in all eight departments.

He said, 'Initially, each martyr's family will get 5 lakh and the injured will get 1 lakh. If there is no problem between the martyr's family, the money will be paid by joint investment. If there is any problem within the family it will be dealt with by those who have the legal wing. In terms of assistance, the larger funds will be through checks and the smaller ones in development.'

Saying that the families of the martyrs are being called from various fake numbers, Sarjis said, 'Only the number 16000 is being called to the family of the martyrs. Work is being done in such a way that every money can be accounted for. Unofficially, the injured numbered 24,000 and the dead over 1,600. Which is being verified again and again. Rehabilitation of the injured will also be done by the foundation.
