Duterte is accused of ordering police chiefs to kill suspects. But he denied this allegation. Said the 'death squad' was made up of 'gangsters' and not policemen.
Duterte added, 'If you want, I can confess now. I had a death squad of seven. But they were not police, they were gangsters.'
Duterte also cleared for himself. Claimed that many criminals resumed their illegal activities after he left the office of President.
