One of the best instant messaging platforms for communicating with friends, family and colleagues is WhatsApp. But a lot of false or false information is spread through it. The company has taken several steps to prevent fake images and messages. However, fake images created using artificial intelligence or AI technology are now spreading widely on the platform. Hence, Meta has added a new 'Search on Web' feature to WhatsApp to detect such fake images.
With the new feature, fake photos can be detected from WhatsApp itself. The feature will work using Google Lens' reverse image search tool. Tap on any picture in WhatsApp to find the new option. Then tap on the three dots button at the top. This feature does not require opening a browser.
The feature is still in testing phase. Currently users of certain beta versions can use the feature.
Last month, messaging platform WhatsApp introduced the 'Manage Contact' feature for phone number management. This feature will allow you to save contacts or phone numbers within the app. As a result, even if the phone is lost, the necessary contacts will not be lost.
WhatsApp will introduce username system in future. The feature is based on this system, which will help users connect without sharing phone numbers. In addition, this feature is designed to enhance user privacy.
