NCP SP working president and Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule has clearly ruled out the possibility of a political alliance with her cousin Ajit Pawar. He said that now political reconciliation is not possible. Sule attributed this to the battle of ideologies and said that Ajit Pawar and his party are allies of the BJP, hence now there will be an ideological tug of war between the two. Supriya Sule said that she is out of the race for the post of Chief Minister in the upcoming elections and said that she is not among the contenders.
What did Supriya Sule say on the possibility of joining Ajit Pawar faction?
It is noteworthy that Ajit Pawar had rebelled against Sharad Pawar leadership, after which NCP got divided into two factions. The Ajit Pawar-led faction is part of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance. The NCP (SP) faction led by Sharad Pawar is part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. When Supriya Sule was asked about the possibility of Ajit Pawar faction coming together again with Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule denied it. He said that 'it is difficult to say whether Ajit Pawar can politically connect with Sharad Pawar or not. As long as they are working with BJP it will not be easy. There is a battle of ideologies between us and this is the biggest challenge for both the groups to come together.
Denied being in the race for CM post
When asked about Supriya Sule being a possible face for the post of CM, she said, 'I am not contesting the elections and NCP (SP) has made it clear that we are not in the race for the post of CM. We are clear about this that we will go with our allies. Regarding the upcoming assembly elections, Supriya Sule said that the Lok Sabha results have removed the confusion. People feel that political parties were broken illegally, they were imposed on people illegally, our fight will continue.
