These fighter jets will be equipped with advanced weapon systems integrated with existing Israeli weapons, long range and large payload capacity. “These facilities will help the Israeli Air Force maintain its strategic superiority in meeting current and future challenges in the Middle East,” the Israeli ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also said that Boeing will start delivering these F-15 aircraft in 2031 and 4-6 aircraft will be delivered every year. “This F-15 squadron, along with the third F-35 squadron purchased this year, marks a historic expansion of our air power and strategic range,” said Defense Ministry Director General Eyal Zamir.
