What is a Consulate Camp? In Canada, all the people who get pension from the Indian Government have to submit a life certificate. For this, camps are organized by the Indian High Commission every year in November. To help the people of cities which are far away from the High Commission, camps are organized in religious places like Gurudwaras and temples.

For the certificate, one has to give one's name to the embassy a week before the camp starts. The same camp was organized on November 3 at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton. This temple is the largest temple in Brampton and surrounding areas. Similar camps were also set up in Surrey and Calgary.

On November 3, the Consulate camp in the temple premises was attacked by a Khalistani mob. Ontario's Peel Police had failed to provide security from Khalistani attackers. A police officer was also included in the attacking mob along with Khalistan supporters. His name is said to be Harinder Sohi. Sohi is a sergeant in Peel Police. He has been suspended.

Such videos have also surfaced in which the policemen are being strict with the people from the Hindu side. In this matter, Naresh Kumar Chavda, trustee of the Sanatan Mandir Board of Directors in Canada, says that the Canadian Government, State Government and Municipal Corporation, authorities at every level are responsible for the incident.

Naresh says that 'tension between Hindus and Sikhs has been increasing for the last four years. Attacks on Hindu temples are continuously increasing. In such a situation, the demonstration should not have been allowed.

The day after the incident, the Brampton Municipal Corporation banned demonstrations near religious places. They could have done this earlier also. Seeing all this it seems that Hinduphobia is prevalent in Canada. Hindus are being used for political gains.

Such videos have surfaced on social media in which Canadian police are arresting people protesting against the attack on the temple.
