Manoj Sinha was speaking during a program organized in Baramulla.

The Lieutenant Governor said, “I say again and again that peace is most essential for development. Without peace, believe me, there will be no development. Some people are still trying to disturb the peace.” Without taking the name of Pakistan, he said that we are not worried about the efforts of our neighbour. There are people among us who provide shelter to terrorists. Manoj Sinha said that people should identify those who shelter or help terrorists. Public participation is also necessary in the fight against terrorism.

What did the Lieutenant Governor say on terrorism?

The Lieutenant Governor said that if the administration, security forces and people together decide, terrorism will not continue for more than a year. He said that terrorists are killing innocent people. He expressed regret over the recent incident in Kashmir Valley. He said that no one has the right to take life. Manoj Sinha sought public cooperation in the fight against terrorism. He said, “For the last four years I have been saying the same thing. Don't molest the innocent and don't spare the guilty.
