Angry Democrats blame Biden for Kamala's defeat

Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has been defeated in the US presidential election. The party officials were shocked by his defeat. Even voters and supporters. Democrats have been seen with anger and self-criticism since the results became almost certain on Wednesday morning (Nov. 6). British news agency Reuters reported this news.

Kamala Harris ran against Republican Donald Trump just three months ago. But the nature of his defeat has many Democrats questioning the future of the party.

In particular, supporters and activists criticized the lies about President Joe Biden's mental capacity.

A Democrat donor asked, 'Why did Joe Biden hold the position for so long? Why didn't he step back earlier?'

Biden, 81, privately believes he is the only Democrat who can defeat Trump and has publicly said he is capable of serving four more years as president. “It is in the best interest of my party and the country,” he said when he withdrew from the race in July.

Harris' campaign declined to comment, and the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Lack of women and young voters

Kamla planned to defeat Trump by relying on two parties. An increasingly diverse young electorate. And women worried about narrowed abortion rights under Republicans.

Under Trump, the share of voters under the age of 45 increased by two percentage points from 2020, according to Edison Research exit polls. Besides, the participation of women voters has also increased. Trump increased his support in many suburban areas.

A Democratic National Committee official said he received angry messages from party members late Tuesday night.

Trump's anti-immigration rhetoric has even resonated in Democratic heartlands like Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Kamala's defeat is the second bitter defeat for Democrats in three elections against Trump. Hillary Clinton's defeat in 2016 paved the way for Biden's candidacy.

Trump, a convicted felon, said his economic proposals, particularly tariffs on imports, would be costly for US consumers and businesses, economists say. Deporting millions of people living illegally under his plan would disrupt many industries and communities. Still, Trump gained support among Latino voters and won easily in Georgia and North Carolina.

Biden and Harris have split within the Democratic Party over their support for Israel's attack on Gaza. Many progressive Democrats called on the United States to cut military aid to Israel. Many believe that this has resulted in a loss of votes among left-wing Democrats.
