Almora Bus Accident: A tragic accident took place in Kupi area of Salt development block of Almora, Uttarakhand, when a bus full of passengers went out of control and fell into a deep ditch. In this horrific accident, 36 people traveling on the bus died, while 19 people were injured. Of the injured, three have been admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh in critical condition, one to Sushila Tiwari Hospital Haldwani and 15 to Ramnagar Upazila Hospital.
The administration and police team reached the spot as soon as the information was received and started the rescue operation. It is being told that a total of 55 people were traveling in the bus, while its capacity was 43 passengers including the driver.
PM Modi announced assistance amount
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. He said, “My condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the road accident in Almora, Uttarakhand. Along with this, I wish speedy recovery of all the injured. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is providing relief and rescue.” Is making every possible effort.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Has announced assistance from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the families of each person who lost his life in this accident, while Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured.

Chief Minister ordered suspension and compensation
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep condolence over this accident and has given instructions to suspend ARTO enforcement of the concerned area. He has also ordered the Commissioner of Kumaon Division to conduct a magisterial inquiry into the matter. The Chief Minister has announced an assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh each to the injured.
Rajnath Singh and Rahul Gandhi reacted to the incident
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed grief over the accident and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. Rajnath Singh wrote in an ex-post, “Many people have lost their lives in this accident. I express my condolences to the families of the deceased, and also wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi expressed grief over the accident and requested Congress workers to provide all possible cooperation in relief and rescue operations.
