Mohammad Shahabuddin has been removed from the president of Bangladesh

The leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens' Committee practically staged a sit-in at the door of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami this time to remove Mohammad Sahabuddin from the post of President. The dream of these two organizations is now to change Bangladesh and build a 'Second Republic'. According to sources, they could not convince the BNP until last night despite two meetings. They did not announce their decision until Saturday. However, it is reported that Jamaat-e-Islami has agreed to remove the president. In the meeting of the Interim Government last Thursday, it was decided that there is a need to build a political consensus on this very sensitive issue. Because, the BNP had already informed that they do not want to create a new constitutional crisis by dismissing the President 'at this moment'.

After this, an attempt was made to remove him by laying siege in front of the President's office, Banga Bhavan, for three consecutive days from Monday. But, as 'Gherao Doze' did not work, the leaders of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and National Citizen Committee held separate meetings with leaders of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami on Thursday night to forge a political compromise. Despite the 'green' signal from the Jamaat, BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed said that although they share the same position with the students' demand for the removal of the President, they feel that a constitutional crisis is ahead.
