AI based cameras in Indian railways kitchens AI monitoring in 297 railway kitchens across the country ann

AI-based cameras in railway kitchens: For the first time in the country, Railways has started using Artificial Intelligence to improve the quality of food. To maintain the quality and hygiene of food for railway passengers, Railways has started using AI in its 297 kitchens.

How is monitoring done?

IRCTC CMD Sanjay Kumar Jain told ABP News that now through AI, if any employee enters the railway kitchens spread across the country without a kitchen cap or gloves, then a complaint will be sent to his in-charge through the automated system. AI immediately complains about such negligence.

What kind of complaints are received regarding railway kitchen?

There are more than 800 such railway kitchens across the country in which complaints of rats and cockroaches keep coming. There is also a complaint that the employees sometimes do not wear gloves and sometimes avoid wearing kitchen caps. But Railways is strict about these kitchen rules. Railways has now started using Artificial Intelligence to ensure that kitchen SOPs are followed all the time in all kitchens.

Kitchens across the country are monitored from the war room in Delhi.

IRCTC spokesperson Anand Jha told ABP News that for the use of AI, a war room was first created in the head office of IRCTC in Delhi. Many big screens have been installed in the war room. 12, 24 or 48 kitchens can be seen simultaneously in real time on each screen. 297 kitchens across the country were connected live to these screens of the war room. Now what is happening in these kitchens is seen in real time by the employees sitting in the IRCTC head quarter day and night.

AI sends complaint ticket

But it was not easy to complain by calling in so many kitchens, hence AI was used. Now as soon as AI sees a rat in a kitchen, it sends a complaint ticket to the concerned kitchen. This complaint ticket contains all the details including time and date of the complaint. The same thing happens when cockroaches are seen in a kitchen.

AI keeps an eye on broom, mop and deep cleaning

Not only this, even if a kitchen is swept but not mopped, AI still sends a complaint ticket. Even if the broom is not wiped at the prescribed time or deep cleaning is not done, the AI expresses its displeasure. As per the rules, the concerned kitchen in-charge has to rectify the complaint and send a reply to the head quarter for negligence.

Investigation of base kitchen of New Delhi Railway Station

Food is not being cooked in the biggest kitchen of IRCTC in Delhi right now but its AI system is working. It is called the base kitchen of New Delhi Railway Station, where till recently food was prepared for 1600 people in 18 trains. Now it is being converted into a training centre. CCTV night vision cameras have also been installed here. There are four cameras installed at one place and eight to ten cameras in one hall. The employees also showed the complaint tickets received here to ABP News.
