109 companies fined in consumer-rights campaign across the country


The National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection along with a special task force has raided markets across the country to stabilize the prices of daily necessities.

On Saturday (October 26), market surveillance activities of daily necessities including onion were conducted at all departments and district levels of the country including Dhaka city.

In Dhaka metropolitan area, 6 teams under the leadership of 6 officials of the Directorate conduct market surveillance activities in different areas of the metropolis.

Besides, 109 institutions were fined 4 lakh 78 thousand taka in the operation conducted by 47 teams of the directorate in 40 districts of the country.

District and upazila administration along with representatives of public and private departments/organizations under the task force were present in the campaign.
