The bowler who dismissed Virat Kohli on a full toss was shocked, said – this was not expected from him

New Delhi. Even the bowler is surprised by the ball on which Virat Kohli was out. Kohli made a mistake on the full toss ball of New Zealand spinner Mitchell Santner and was clean bowled. Even the Kiwi bowler is shocked to see Virat getting out like this. Santner says that usually Virat hits a six on such shots but here he missed, seeing which I was also surprised. It was a shocking moment for me to see Virat getting out like this.

Mitchell Santner bowled the best bowling of his career (53/7). Thanks to his seven wickets, New Zealand gained a lead of 103 runs in the first innings and later increased it to 301 runs. Kohli's wicket was also included in the brilliant spell of the left-arm spinner due to which India was bundled out for 156 runs in the first innings. When he was asked how much he liked dismissing India's star batsman in this manner, he replied, 'It was very surprising for me to dismiss Kohli on a full toss. He doesn't usually miss such shots. It was a bit slow ball. I just tried to change it a bit, but usually if you hit those shots they go for six runs. The shot was good but the change of pace was important.

Santner said that despite the huge lead of 301 runs, New Zealand's batsmen still have work to do in the remaining three days of the Test. According to Santner, 'I think India will probably play more aggressively and try to put us on the backfoot. Still have work to do with the bat. Certainly, the more runs we score now, our work with the ball will become a little easier. Santner said it was important to change the pace like India's off-spinner Washington Sundar, who took seven wickets for 59 runs on the first day. He said, 'I do this a lot in white-ball cricket, I change the pace. We talked about maybe bowling a little slower. Earlier the ball speed was 95 kmph and then they started slowing it down and started introducing variations, due to which the batsmen got confused.
