Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024 JMM Candidates Fourth List released Ganesh Mahali Contest against BJP Champai Soren


Jharkhand JMM Candidates List: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Thursday (October 24) released its fourth list of two candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. In this, Ganesh Mahali has been fielded from Seraikela seat, who had left BJP along with other leaders and joined JMM on October 22. From here BJP has given ticket to Champai Soren. Whereas Ramsurya Munda has been fielded from Khunti seat.

Earlier, JMM had released three lists, announcing candidature for 41 out of 81 seats. Now with the addition of two more candidates, the party has so far announced candidature on 43 seats. In the upcoming assembly elections, Indian alliance parties Congress and JMM will contest on 70 out of 81 seats, while Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and left parties will contest on the remaining 11 seats. RJD had announced candidates for six seats on Tuesday.

BJP is contesting elections on 68 seats
It is noteworthy that the allies of Bharatiya Janata Party will contest the elections together. BJP will contest elections on 68 seats, AJSU Party will field candidates on 10 seats, JDU on 2 seats and LJP (Ram Vilas) on one seat. According to news agency PTI, if we talk about 2019 elections, the JMM-led alliance had won 47 seats, snatching power from BJP. In 2019, JMM had contested 43 seats and won 30, while finishing second in five constituencies.

Whereas BJP got 25 seats, JVM-P got three, AJSU Party got two and CPI (ML) and NCP got one seat each. Apart from this, two independent candidates were victorious. Let us tell you that in the first phase, the process of filing nomination papers for 43 assembly constituencies for the voting to be held on November 13 started on Friday and it will continue till October 25.

A total of 2.60 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the upcoming elections, out of which 11.84 lakh voters will vote for the first time. 1.13 lakh persons with disabilities (PWD), third gender and senior citizens above 85 years of age are included. Assembly elections are going to be held in two phases on 13th and 20th November, the results of which will be declared on 23rd November.
