The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the Indian team for the five-match Test series. In this, Rohit Sharma has been made the captain and Jasprit Bumrah as the vice-captain. Experienced and young players have got a chance in the squad selected for the Australia tour. Abhimanyu Easwaran has got a place in the team after scoring runs in the domestic circuit. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana have been included in the Test team for the first time and will go to Australia for this series.
Kuldeep out due to injury
Meanwhile, India's star spinner Kuldeep Yadav is out of the team. He was not available for selection for the Australia tour due to his chronic left groin problem. At the same time, India's spin bowling all-rounder Akshar Patel has not been included in the team.
