Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Chief Minister Atishi alleged that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was attacked by BJP people during his Vikaspuri Padayatra. According to the Chief Minister, BJP knows that it cannot defeat Arvind Kejriwal in the elections. Now they want to take his life by doing dirty politics. On the other hand, BJP has termed AAP's allegations as baseless and termed it as a statement given out of frustration. On the other hand, Delhi Police has denied any such incident. West Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner Vichitra Veer says that no incident of assault on Kejriwal in Vikaspuri has come to the notice of the police.

Chief Minister Atishi, while talking to the media late on Friday evening, alleged that if every conspiracy of BJP to harass Kejriwal and stop his work has failed, now an attempt is being made to kill him. Atishi said that investigation into Friday's attack would reveal that the attacker was a member of the BJP. He challenged that if you have courage then get an investigation done and take strictest action against the attacker.

State BJP has termed AAP's claim of attack on former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Vikaspuri as baseless. BJP said that there has been no attack on Kejriwal, rather the public is opposing him and his MLAs.

State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and MP Kamaljit Sehrawat said that Kejriwal and his MLAs are facing public opposition everywhere. In fact, people are troubled by bad roads, poor sanitation, lack of water, huge electricity bills and poor health and education services. Along with this, fed up with the working style of AAP MLAs and councilors, people are now opposing Arvind Kejriwal on the streets.
