At the same time, during the storm Dana, another picture came out. This picture was related to pregnant women. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had said on Thursday that about 4,500 pregnant women were also shifted to relief camps. Of these, 1,600 gave birth to children.

More than 7 lakh people in relief camps

Let us tell you that a total of 5 lakh 84 thousand 888 people were taken to safe places in Odisha on Thursday. By Friday morning this number had increased to more than 700,000. CM Majhi said that the evacuated people have currently been accommodated in 6,008 camps. Here, food, medicine, water and other necessary arrangements have been made for them.

Most people evacuated from Balasore district

The CM said that the maximum number of people were evacuated in Balasore district, where 172,916 people were evacuated to safe places, followed by Mayurbhanj where 100,000 people were taken to relief camps. 75,000 people from Bhadrak, 58,000 from Jajpur and 46,000 from Kendrapara were evacuated from coastal areas to safe places.

Most damage in Bhadrak and Bansada

The storm has caused maximum devastation in Bhadrak and Bansada. There are reports of trees, electric poles and hoardings falling at many places. However, after the storm weakened, NDRF teams started removing trees that had fallen on the road. Odisha government says that after the rain stops, power supply will also be restored. At present, there has been no information about any casualty in this storm. The government has also confirmed zero casualties.
