Why hesitance to give voting rights to people: Gayeshwar

BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said that the people are with you while asking questions to the interim government. But when will the people give their rightful right to vote – why do you hesitate to say it? Why is the Election Commission still in force? What electoral reform? Reform with whom? To reform you need to consult politicians.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized by 'Shaheed Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu Foundation' at the Jatiya Press Club auditorium on 'We want justice for the murder of all the martyrs, including Shaheed Nasiruddin Pintu, the victim of planned murder by the tyrannical murderer Hasina government in Rajshahi Central Jail'. spoke

Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said, 'In exchange for the sacrifice of thousands of known and unknown people, the interim government was put in power only for a free and fair election. Not fitted for anything else. Make sure that the election is done correctly. If BNP comes to power in that election then where is your problem. Where is the problem if someone else comes to power? All the ghosts of bureaucrats abandoned by Sheikh Hasina are sitting on your neck. They are running the country and you are diverting people's perspective by telling stories of reforms. Clean the ghosts of Awami League and create a fair election environment.'

He also said, 'Nasir Uddin Pintu gave his life for the nation. He was very brave. Pintu was killed in a planned manner. Pintu gave his life to establish democracy, justice. BDR killing is a planned murder. The root of this murder is Sheikh Hasina. We want justice for Pintu's murder.'

BNP Chairperson's advisor Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal said in the meeting, 'Today Allah has taken the party called Awami League to the door of death. Hasina and her party who are torturing the people of the country with the pride of power, Allah has removed them from power in just a few hours.'

He further said, 'There is no progress in our false cases. There is an opportunity to withdraw all the cases of 6 million leaders and workers through only one gazette. Hopefully, the government will take up the cases.'
