This time 70% people can vote before the elections In America, voting before elections is called advance polling or pre-poll voting. Advance polling has been done in American elections before also. Although, in the earlier elections, the pre-poll voting was dominated by the Democrats, but this time the Republicans have started taking the lead in some major states.

Before 1988, there were only 6 states where early voting was prevalent. Since 1992, the trend of early voting before elections has increased. 7% people voted in the 1992 elections. According to NBC, 14.5 million people can vote before the elections this year. It is around 70%.

According to the MIT Election Data and Science Lab, about 60% of Democrat and 32% of Republican voters voted by mail in 2020. Obviously, Biden got the benefit of this in the last election also. This is the reason why former President Donald Trump has many times given statements against advance polling. He says that there is fraud in voting through mail.

Despite this, the Republican Party is making voters aware about voting early in this election.
