Selima Rahman said to bring Chhatra League under the law

BNP Standing Committee member Selima Rahman commented that Chhatra League should not be banned, they should be brought under the law.

He said these things at a discussion meeting on Thursday (October 24) at the Nazrul Hamid Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity to demand the withdrawal of all false cases in the name of Tariq Rahman by executive order initiated by the Jatiyatabadi Democratic Party.

Selima Rahman asked if BCL should be banned only, they have machetes, pistols and weapons in their hands. Won't they attack everywhere? Therefore, they should be brought under the law. The most important thing is that Sheikh Hasina must be brought under the law first, she must be tried.

He said, I got my release after the student movement, but are we at ease? We have passed a crisis, indeed, and are standing on the brink of exhaustion. Common people are not getting relief today. Rising commodity prices, office siege program with demands, friends of the fallen dictatorship are trying to destabilize the country according to the plan so that the government cannot manage the country well, cannot give a good election.

Commenting that the ongoing crisis has been created by the fallen dictatorial government, he said that this crisis was not created by the current government, they are still working. I see the friends of the fallen government in many places. They are trying to create unstable environment. They have to break the commodity price syndicate.

Addressing the interim government, this leader of BNP said that the people of the interim government are very good people, they are working, we are supporting them. But they must understand that the things that are needed first, must be done first. Not all reforms are possible at all. If a political party is elected by people's vote, they can run the country well.

Selima Rahman said that an executive order can remove the cases of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman, but the interim government is not doing that.

Chairman of the organizing organization Shahadat Hossain presided over and organizing secretary Mir Amir Hossain Amu moderated the discussion meeting. Adviser to BNP Chairperson Zainul Abdin Farooq, Chairman of NPP Fariduzzaman Farhad and others spoke at the meeting.
