Railways Will Run Seven Thousand Special Trains, Center Approves Many Projects In Cabinet Meeting – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Railways will run seven thousand Diwali and Chhath special trains to provide safe travel to the passengers during the festival. This decision was approved in the cabinet meeting on Thursday. Union Railway and Information Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that this decision will provide great relief to two lakh passengers every day. Apart from this, two big railway projects were approved in the meeting.

3.2 km long new bridge to be built on Krishna river

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that under the first rail project, a railway line has been approved for Amravati. For this, a new 3.2 km long railway bridge will be built on Krishna river. It will connect Amravati to Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Nagpur. Along with this, Narkatiaganj-Raxaul-Sitamarhi-Darbhanga and Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur railway line will be doubled to connect North Bihar with North Eastern states. Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar will benefit from the doubling of 256 km long railway line at a cost of Rs 4553 crore.

Railway network will increase by 313 km

The Union Railway Minister said that the doubling of Narkatiaganj-Raxaul-Sitamarhi-Darbhanga and Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur section will strengthen the connectivity with Nepal, North-East India and border areas and will facilitate the movement of goods trains as well as passenger trains. The 57 km long new railway line Errupalem-Amaravati-Namburu will pass through Vijayawada and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh and Khammam district of Telangana. He said that these Rs 6,798 crore rail projects covering eight districts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bihar will expand the railway network by 313 km. Also, with nine new stations, about 168 villages and about 12 lakh population will benefit. Apart from this, there will be additional freight traffic of 31 MTPA (million tonnes per annum). According to Railways, the proposal for the new line will provide direct connectivity to Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh.

Venture capital fund approved

In the cabinet meeting, the Union Cabinet also approved the setting up of a Venture Capital Fund of Rs 1,000 crore to promote startups in the space sector.

Northern Railway had announced to run 3050 trains

Recently, in view of the festival, Northern Railway itself had announced to run 3050 special trains. Most of these trains are such that will run towards Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and North-Eastern states. This time the trains being run are 172 percent more than last year. Northern Railway had run 1082 special trains last year.
