Abu Saeed (RA) said, 'We left them and went to Rasulullah (SAW). We informed Rasool (PBUH) about our situation. Rasool (PBUH) started laughing. He said, “How do you know that Surah Fatiha can cure someone? That is, I never taught you that Surah Fatiha can be used as a cure, how did you know its use?”'
The Prophet (peace be upon him) then smiled and said, 'You go there to receive the flock and allocate a portion of it for me too.'
Now the lesson of the story is: the entire Qur'an is a shifa—a cure, but spiritually. But what makes Surah Fatiha unique is that it is not only spiritual healing, but also physical healing. When we ourselves are sick, when our children are sick, this surah can be recited.
We hope that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will heal us through Surah Fatiha, elevate our status and make us people of the Quran.
