Ajit Pawar lags behind among the popular contenders.
In the Lokniti CSDS survey, people were asked about their opinion about Uddhav Thackeray, Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar as popular contenders for CM. Uddhav Thackeray topped the survey, whom 28 percent people considered a popular candidate for CM.
According to the report of News Tak, 20 percent people saw Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde as a popular contender. Devendra Fadnavis was considered a popular face by 16 percent people. At the same time, only 8 percent people considered NCP (Sharad faction) Chief Sharad Pawar as a popular face.
There is no visible effect of the fight between real and fake
Only 3 percent people saw Ajit Pawar as a popular contender for CM. These figures are shocking also because none of Uddhav Thackeray or Eknath Shinde or Devendra Fadnavis can be called a unilateral favorite face.
However, one surprising aspect of the survey data is that even if the popularity of all the faces of Mahavikas Aghadi i.e. Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar are added together, they are not reaching more than the total popularity of the faces of Mahayuti.
