Mumbai Police gave information
A case was registered against the mother and daughter on court orders last week and notices have been issued to them to face investigation, the official said on Tuesday. After which he has been asked to appear before the Mumbai Police on Thursday.
The police officer further said that according to the complainant, a resident of Borivali, Mumbai, obscene scenes of minor girls were broadcast in an episode between February and April 2021. Let us tell you that the controversial episode is not being telecasted on Alt Balaji app at present.
Alt Digital Media gave clarification
In the POCSO case regarding obscene depiction in web series, Alt Digital Media Entertainment Limited said that any reference by the company to the inclusion of minors is not true. Also, according to the statement issued by Telefilm Limited, Shobha and Ekta are not involved in the daily operations. Different teams are involved in the content strategy.
Telefilm Limited rejected the allegation
After this allegation, in a statement issued by Ekta's Alt Balaji Telefilm Limited, Alt Digital Media Entertainment Limited ('Company') rejected the allegations and said that they follow the laws. Shobha and Ekta are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the company and have separate teams for content strategy.
