BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said that the sooner the election roadmap is announced, the sooner the citizens' expectations will be met. He said this at a discussion meeting organized by Zia Generation Dal at Maulana Akram Khan Hall of National Press Club on Thursday (October 17).
Shamsuzzaman Dudu said, 'What is important now is a good election. The people of the country are waiting. What day will the election be? Therefore, this government should fix the election date as soon as possible.
Addressing the interim government, he said, 'Whatever you do, do it quickly. Fix the date of an election, make a roadmap. The people of this country know well how to make a good election. The police must be fixed, the administration must be fixed. The people of the country do not want to see these excuses.
Addressing the government, the former general secretary of the Krishak Dal said, 'We consider you as a stone. Do you think of yourself as a stone? If you think so then announce the election date, roadmap. The sooner an election roadmap is announced, the sooner citizen expectations are met. If you can do this, the nation will remember you. Your name will be written in gold in history.'
He said to the army chief, 'Who are the 600 people you sheltered? Where did they go? Publish their list.'
BNP Chairperson Adviser Abdus Salam, BNP Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarfat Ali Sapu, Desh Bachao Manhoob Bachao Andolan President KM Rafiqul Islam Ripon and other leaders of various levels of the organization also spoke at the discussion meeting.
