There are many parties including BNP, Citizens Committee, Jamaat in the round table of Islamic movement


Most of the country's political parties participated in a round table meeting organized by the Islamic movement. Monday (October 21) martyred Dr. BMA building in Segunbagicha. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, Bangladesh LDP Secretary General Shahadat Hossain Salim, State Reform Movement Convener Hasnat Qayyum and NDM Chairman Bobby Hajjaz.

Besides, Chairman of National Party Syed Ehsanul Huda, Secretary General of Muslim League Kazi Abul Khair, Chairman of Labor Party Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Secretary General of Islami Oikyajot Maulana Fazlur Rahman, General Secretary of People's Rights Council Rashed Khan, Member Secretary of People's Rights Council (part) Farooq Ahmad, Chief of Zanipop also discussed. Executive Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Sarjis Alam, civic council convener Naseeruddin Patwari and others.

In the round table meeting titled 'Declaration of disqualification of fascists, corrupt and people involved in genocide and introduction of fair, acceptable and representative electoral system', Amir of Islami Andolan said, 'Islami Andolan Bangladesh expects, what will be the type and process of their reform activities by the interim government and how long will the reform activities be? will publish it very soon and announce a roadmap for national elections.'

Rezaul Karim said about the 2014, 2018 and 2024 elections on January 7, 'The three election commissions that conducted the three illegal and farcical elections and the officials of the administration who were involved in their illegal activities, should be brought under the law and face punishment. So that no one dares illegal elections in the future.'

In a written statement, the Amir of the Islamic Movement mentioned that national unity can be built on two fundamental issues at the moment. One. Prohibition of politics and disqualification of fallen fascists, mass murderers, looters and corrupt people. Two, to introduce a free, fair, acceptable and properly representative electoral system.

In this regard, the Islamic movement Bangladesh has been demanding the electoral system of numerical proportional representation in national elections for a long time. Even before the 2008 national elections, we strongly demanded the election of proportional representation system. If this system had been introduced then, maybe a party like Awami League would not have had the opportunity to become a dictator and a fascist like this. Hopefully, now most political parties and most of the civil society are demanding the introduction of numerically proportional electoral system.'
