PM Narendra Modi Russia Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Left from India for Kazan, Russia on Tuesday (22 October 2024) to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit. He left India at around 7:40 in the morning. He will reach Russia by 1 pm.
Before leaving for Russia, PM Modi informed about this on social media platform X. He wrote, “I am going to Kazan, Russia, to attend the BRICS summit. India attaches great importance to BRICS, and I look forward to wide-ranging discussions on a wide range of topics there. I look forward to meeting various leaders there.” I am also looking forward to it.”

PM Modi, before leaving for Russia, said India values close cooperation within BRICS to promote global developmental agenda, improved multilateralism, climate change, economic cooperation, cultural and people-to-people ties, among others. Has emerged as an important platform to connect. BRICS' expansion last year with the addition of new members has added to its inclusivity and agenda for global good.
Partnership with Russia will become stronger – PM Modi
PM Modi further said that my visit to Kazan, for the annual summit to be held in Moscow in July 2024, will further strengthen the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia. I look forward to meeting other leaders in BRICS as well.
Putin had invited PM Modi
The 16th BRICS conference is being organized in Kazan city of Russia. PM Modi will remain in Russia on a two-day visit to attend this program. He has been invited by Russian President Putin. Here the NRIs have also made grand preparations to welcome PM Modi. PM Modi will also meet Russian President Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS conference.
