Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: In view of the assembly elections in Jharkhand, verbal attacks are going on between the party and the opposition. Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has surrounded the leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday (22 October). He accused BJP of misleading people with false promises before the assembly elections.

CM Soren alleged that BJP leaders are eyeing the mineral resources of the state and appealed to the voters to be cautious about their promises.

Addressing an election rally in Chandil, the Chief Minister said, “Opposition leaders are trying to mislead people in the elections with false promises. Be careful of them because they have their eyes on the mineral resources of Jharkhand. He participated in the rally to campaign in favor of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate Sabita Mahato from Ichagarh. Mahaton filed his nomination papers during the day.

Jharkhand CM Soren said that Mahato is not alone in this contest, but the full strength of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is with her to ensure her victory in the assembly elections. Soren claimed that the JMM-led government completed its tenure despite conspiracies hatched by the BJP.

When are the assembly elections in Jharkhand?

The first phase of voting for Jharkhand Assembly is to be held on 13th and the second phase of voting is to be held on 20th November. On Tuesday, the Election Commission issued a notification for the second phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections. In the second phase, the process of nomination of candidates for 38 seats has started. Voting for this phase is to be held on November 20.

Candidates can file nominations till October 29, and scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on October 30. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is November 1. The first phase of voting will be held on November 13, in which 43 seats will be included. Counting of votes will take place on 23 November.
