Dr. Mahmoud Esmat said that a large part of the electrical supplies for the Egyptian-Saudi electrical interconnection project comes from Italy, and in this context, the time plan has been confirmed in light of the commitment to enter the project into service early next summer, indicating that the electricity and renewable energy sector continues to work to develop and modernize the unified network in A general plan framework to reach the best technology at the lowest prices, as well as continuing to provide possible facilities and facilities to finance clean, low-carbon electricity projects, and there is a keenness to enhance and exchange experiences with developed countries in this field.

Dr. Mahmoud Esmat stressed the continuation of cooperation with the Italian side and work to attract more Italian companies to invest in light of the existing cooperation between the two countries in many fields, including clean energy, and the electrical interconnection project between the continents of Africa and Europe, which is carried out through Egypt and Italy by the private sector in The two countries and the need to provide the necessary government support to companies based on the project.
