Accidental motorcycle
Tangail: Two motorcycle riders were killed when a bus ran over them in Ashopur bypass area of ​​Tangail Sadar Upazila on the Dhaka-Tangail-Yamuna bridge highway.
The accident happened on Monday (October 21) around 5:30 pm.
The victims were not immediately identified.
Quoting the locals, the police said that two motorcyclists were crossing the highway in the Ashekpur bypass area in the afternoon. Meanwhile, a North Bengal-bound Ekta Paribahan bus leaving Dhaka hit the motorcycle. One died on the spot and another died on the way to Dhaka. The bus was intercepted but its driver and assistant escaped.
Tangail General Hospital Police Box Officer-in-Charge (SI) Alamgir Hossain confirmed the incident.
