Student murder: Case against 49 people including Sheikh Hasina

Police shot at Farmgate in the capital. A case has been filed against 49 people including Sheikh Hasina for the murder of a student named Touhidul Haque.

On Wednesday (August 21), Touhidul's elder brother Tariqul Islam filed the case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurul Huda Chowdhury's court. The court directed the Tejgaon police to accept the complaint as a statement. The plaintiff's lawyer Mujahidul Islam confirmed this information.

Other accused in the case include Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Anisul Haque, Salman F Rahman, Anwar Hossain Manju, Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasan Mahmud, Mohammad Ali Arafat, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Haroon-or-Rashid, Biplab Kumar, Habibur Rahman, Sadek Khan, Shajahan Khan, Golam Maruf Majumdar (Nijhum Majumdar), Muntasir Uddin Khan Mamun.

On August 4, a student admitted to the university was shot dead on the road below the Farmgate footover bridge under Tejgaon police station. Touhidul Haque
