In such a situation, he sent a message to Anand Bakshi asking him to come and meet him so that both of them could compose songs for the film.

Anand Bakshi did not like the message of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. They felt that since Nusrat Saheb had come from Pakistan, he was showing ego. Thinking this, he did not go to meet the singer. However, he wrote songs and sent them. Now Anand used to write songs and send them and Nusrat used to reject them saying that he was not enjoying them. In such a situation, when Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan would send the tune of the song to Anand Bakshi, he would also reject it by calling it nonsense.
