Ukrainian President Voldimyr Zelensky has expressed concern about the growing closeness between Russia and North Korea. Zelensky has said that these proximity could further escalate the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. Zelensky has appealed to the countries of the world to stop this friendship. Sharing a post on the social media platform Zelensky further said that the Ukrainian government expects its international partners to respond impartially to this growing threat.
He said, “Unfortunately, once North Korea learns modern warfare tactics, the threat may increase further. We have clear data that shows that North Korea is supplying people to Russia and these are not just workers but soldiers. “We expect a fair and impartial response from our partners in this matter.”
Zelensky added, “This is another country getting involved in the war against Ukraine. This issue needs to be negotiated as soon as possible. We need to respond. We cannot allow evil to grow.” The President of Ukraine warned about the increasing war in Ukraine, saying that if North Korean troops are in the field, it will only increase the devastation and will not benefit any country in the world.
Earlier on Saturday, CNN reported that North Korea has sent 1,500 soldiers to Russia for training. South Korea's spy agency revealed that the special forces fighters arrived in Russia on seven Russian ships and were personally inspected by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
