New debate on the question of stopping Awami League from politics and voting, what other parties including BNP are saying


In the 2018 election, there were allegations of serious irregularities, including ending the polls the night before. However, all parties including BNP participated in that election.

BNP leaders say that they participated in the 2018 elections but raised questions about the irregularities in that election. They argue that participating in elections and supporting a fascist regime are not the same thing. Jamaat-e-Islami Central Propaganda Secretary Matiur Rahman Akand Prothom-aloK said that they participated in the 2018 election but boycotted voting due to irregularities on the morning of the polling day.

Japa Secretary General Mujibul Haque on the question raised about participating in the last three elections under the rule of Awami League. Prothom-aloWho said that their party did not do anything unconstitutional or illegal by participating in the election.
