Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Madani has welcomed the interim order of the Supreme Court in which the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has canceled the recognition of madrassas and allowed children studying in independent madrassas to be admitted in schools. The guidelines for getting it have been put on hold. Maulana Madani called this decision a 'breath of cold wind', but also said that our struggle is still long.
Today the Supreme Court has given two important decisions on the case of Madrassas, although this decision is interim. The first decision put a stay on the decision of the central and state governments to close government madrassas. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) had made recommendations related to this to the states in the month of June. The Center had asked the states to take action regarding this. Second decision: The court also stayed the order of Uttar Pradesh and Tripura governments, in which students studying in madrassas were to be transferred to government schools.
In a special conversation with ABP News, Maulana Mahmood Madani criticized the recent statements and actions of NCPCR Chairman Priyank Kanungo and said that it seems that he has closed his eyes to the facts. On the one hand, he objects to the curriculum of Islamic books, which some people may consider correct in their opinion, although the truth is the opposite. If he sits down and discusses this issue, he will definitely be satisfied, but his attitude seems aggressive and one-sided.
