Cheteshwar Pujara broke Brian Lara's record, now Rahul Dravid is on target, Sachin-Gavaskar…

New Delhi. Cheteshwar Pujara scored his 25th Ranji Trophy century for Saurashtra against Chhattisgarh in Rajkot in the second round of Ranji Trophy. He completed his century in 197 balls. This is Pujara's 66th century in first class. He has gone ahead of even Brian Lara in this matter. Brian Lara has a total of 65 centuries in first class. Now his target is Rahul Dravid.

Cheteshwar Pujara is the fourth highest run scorer and century scorer in first class cricket. He is behind only Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Born in 1988 in Rajkot, Gujarat, Pujara was brought up in a cricket family. His father Arvind Pujara also used to play cricket for Saurashtra. Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin have scored a total of 81 centuries in first class so far.

Sachin Tendulkar Net Worth: Sachin's net worth is skyrocketing, earnings are increasing day by day, where is so much money coming from?

After this comes Rahul Dravid who is at second place with 68 centuries. If Pujara scores two more centuries, he will equal Rahul Dravid. At the same time, if he scores 3 centuries then he will go ahead of Rahul. Pujara made his first class debut for Saurashtra in December 2005 and since then he has been playing for Saurashtra.

Pujara's domestic career has been impressive. He has scored a lot of runs for Saurashtra on many occasions. He scored 437 runs in just four matches in Ranji Trophy 2017-18. Pujara scored his 50th first class century in the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy. That season was also amazing for him. Pujara is currently out of Team India and his return is also difficult now.
