She stated that the government gives high priority to this important sector, and in this regard, the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation is working to provide financing, whether locally or through external financing, to support Human development sectorAn amount of 118 billion pounds was allocated from the sixth chapter budget for the human development sector in the plan for the fiscal year 2024/2025, and with regard to external financing, the international cooperation portfolio to support the human development sector amounts to about 7 billion dollars, through soft financing, technical support, and grants. Debt swap.

She noted that the Ministry places human development at the top of the axes of cooperation with international partners, while formulating and preparing country strategies for cooperation between Egypt and development partners – such as the United Nations, the World Bank Group, the European Union, the United States of America, China, and other bilateral and multilateral partners, stressing Economic development will not be achieved unless human development is enhanced.

She pointed to the Takaful and Karama program, funded by the World Bank, which has been successfully implemented over a period of 9 years with soft financing totaling $1.4 billion. The number of beneficiaries of the cash support provided within the framework of the program has reached 20 million Egyptian citizens, and the World Bank has taken it as a model for cash transfer programs that It should be disseminated in developing countries around the world.
