Sisi: If our program with the IMF will put pressure on the state, it must be reviewed

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi revealed that the Egyptian state is proceeding according to an economic reform program amid great tensions in the world, according to Sada El Balad.

He added: The current program with the International Monetary Fund comes under very difficult circumstances that have negative effects on the entire world economy…and this must be taken into consideration by international institutions.

He added that it is said that there is a possible economic recession in the world as a result of the existing global repercussions.

President Sisi said: We lost $7 billion in 10 months, and this may continue for an additional year due to the repercussions and events taking place in the region.

He concluded his speech by explaining: If the program with the IMF and the current challenges at the world level will cause us to put pressure on public opinion in a way that people cannot bear, the situation must be reviewed with the IMF.
