Bihar Hooch Tragedy: Politics is heated over death due to poisonous liquor in Bihar. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav has given a strong reaction on this matter on Friday. He raised questions on the policy of Nitish government. Pappu Yadav said that when the government changes the policy from time to time, then why does the government not make any law (regarding this)? If I ever come to power, I would be the first to impose life imprisonment on anyone making and selling poisonous liquor and all officials in that area would be dismissed.

Pappu Yadav said that this matter is not just related to prohibition. This is a case of poisonous liquor. It is only the poor people who suffer from this and the perpetrators are always the people with money. In this case, non-bailable laws should be made and punishment should be given by running a speedy trial within three months. Actually, Pappu Yadav has demanded strict laws in the poisonous liquor case.

47 people have died so far
The MP further said that the ruling party and the officials who sell liquor are all cool. One leader said that people keep dying, the opposition sells liquor. Pappu Yadav said that even when liquor was sold in Bihar, poisonous liquor was available and people used to die from it. When will illicit liquor be banned? When will we stop making illegal liquor? Let us tell you that so far 47 people have died due to poisonous liquor in Siwan, Chhapra and Gopalganj districts of Bihar.
