Ravneet Singh On Emergency Film: BJP MP and film actress Kangana Ranaut's film Emergency has got the green signal. Emergency got permission for release from the Censor Board. Regarding this, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu countered the questions being raised by the opposition and said that now there is no such scene in the film Emergency, which is hurting the sentiments of Sikhs or Hindus.
Bittu said that before clearing the film, two intellectuals saw it and only after they gave the green signal to the film, the certificate was issued. Therefore, it is not right to create any kind of controversy regarding the film now.
Bittu asked questions to those opposing the film
Along with this, Ravneet Bittu asked a question to those opposing the film as to why they do not want the public to know the truth of 1984. The public should know what happened during that time? What were the conditions like? And how were the Sikhs treated after the assassination of Indira Gandhi?
He questioned the organizations opposing the lifting of Emergency as to why they do not want to highlight the works of late Indira Gandhi. Are these organizations taking the side of late Indira Gandhi? Let everything be public.
Sikh organizations protested against Kangana's film
It is noteworthy that Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of Indira Gandhi in the film Emergency. The assassination of Indira Gandhi and the circumstances before and after it are shown in the film. Objections were raised by the Congress including the Sikh organization regarding the film and due to this the release of the film was banned.
The film was not able to get certificate from the censor board. After this, many scenes of the film were removed and changed, after which the certificate was received from the Censor Board and Kangana Ranaut herself posted information that her film Emergency will be released soon.
