According to CPCB data, air quality in 13 areas including Anand Vihar and Wazirpur was recorded in very severe to severe category. Whereas in 19 areas including Rohini, Dwarka, Ashok Vihar, the air remained in very poor category.

Even before the onset of winter in the capital, the air has reached the threshold of very poor category. In such a situation, people may have to face more trouble in breathing in the coming days. People breathed bad air on Friday. During this period the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 292. More or less, the same situation is expected to persist till Saturday. Whereas, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) estimates that the air quality may become very poor from Sunday.
