Bangladesh Election, Bangladesh election next year? The interim government's legal adviser opened his mouth – interim government says what about Bangladesh election know details

Legal adviser Asif Nazrul indicated when the elections could be held in Bangladesh. He indicated that the elections could be held there within the next year. Bangladesh's law, justice and parliamentary affairs adviser said that elections are possible there next year.

This year, Sheikh Hasina's government fell due to a popular uprising in August. After that, the interim government was formed under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus. Yunus talked about reforms in various fields including the Election Commission. He also said that elections will be held only after reforming the Election Commission and voter list.

On the other hand, the Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman said that elections in Bangladesh could be held after 18 months. This is the first time the army chief has spoken directly about the election of advisers. He also said that a new election commission will be formed there within this period. He also said that the Election Commission will first prepare the correct voter list and then the election will be held.

He made this comment while participating in Channel I's 'Today's Newspaper' program presented by Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, editor-in-chief of 'Manazmin' newspaper on Thursday night. In that event, Asif Nazrul also talked about the repeal of the Digital Security Act and the manner in which Sheikh Hasina can be brought back to the country.

It is to be noted that the election was held in January this year in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina formed the government for the fourth consecutive time after getting an absolute majority. BNP and some other political parties called for boycott of this election. After Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister, the President of Bangladesh Mohammad Shahabuddin dissolved the twelfth national parliament there.

After that Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the head of the interim government. He also discussed with various political parties about how elections will be held there and reforms in this field. Various parties including BNP have demanded quick elections there. However, Awami League was not called in that meeting.

Earlier Sheikh Hasina's son Sajib Wazed Joy said that the Awami League will participate in the elections there. Joy also commented that elections and reforms in Bangladesh are not possible without Awami League.
