The first female vice-chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology (Pabiprabi) has resigned. Hafiza Khatun. On Wednesday (August 21), he submitted his resignation to the President citing personal and family reasons.

Earlier, on April 12, 2022, Dhaka University's Geography and Environment Department Professor Dr. Hafiza Khatun has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology. She was the first woman Vice-Chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology and the fourth among women Vice-Chancellors in the country.

Confirming the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor, University Registrar Bijan Kumar Brahm said that the Vice-Chancellor has resigned due to personal reasons. As per the rules, he has sent his resignation letter to the chancellor and president of the university.
