Arab Finance: Engineer Karim Badawy received the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dalia Al-Jabri, President of Shell in Egypt, and Hani Esmat, CEO of the Malaysian Petronas Company in Egypt; The activities of the two companies in Egypt during the current period and plans for developing the tenth phase of gas production from the West Delta Deep Project in the Mediterranean Sea were discussed, and the procedures for the eleventh phase development project in the same region were followed up.
Badawi stressed that the petroleum sector is working to strengthen Egypt's role as a regional gas center and a starting point for Eastern Mediterranean gas, noting that all means of support and assistance are provided to international oil companies operating in Egypt to perform their work.
While the presidents of the two companies confirmed that work is underway to develop the tenth phase of the West Delta Deep Project in the Mediterranean Sea, they also pointed out the procedures for the eleventh phase development project for gas production.
